Kate walked along the beach, carrying banana's. That's right, banana's. She'd been out in the jungle finding fruits the past day in the blistering heat. It was hot today, and little drops of sweat were sliding down her forehead. She wiped them off and switched the rop from one shoulder to another, and sighed a few times before moving on. Her feet sank away into the soft sand with every step, which made it even harder not to get exhausted.
She stopped when he noticed a pile of clothes and a book in the sand, and walked towards it, before putting down the fruits and picking up the book. Watership Down? These were Sawyer's clothes, what was Sawyer doing reading Watership Down?

Well, Sawyer wasn't reading Watership Down.. he was down in the water, having got fed up with reading all day. Something about the blue infinity had been just too tempting to resist. The day was hot, the water cold and crystal clear.. you do the math. The only thing missing from the equation was.. let's say, pleasurable company... and right on cue...
A lesser man might have been, well, embarassed at being sans clothes infront of women vastly inferior to Kate.. but Sawyer had never been, well, lesser in anything. He had no shame and, let's face it, with that body nothing to be ashamed of. Fixing a huge grin across his features he stood up out of the water and strode towards her, the sun drying his now-almost-golden skin.
"Hell of a book" he smiled, seeing that she was looking down at the much-battered and somewhat storm damaged copy of Watership Down. "It's about bunnies."

Kate's eyes grew a bit wide as Sawyer came stroding out of the water, without, you get the point. It surprised her he wasn't ashamed of anything, but then again, not really something to be ashamed of. Bad thoughts, Kate. Bad thoughts. She kept her eyes on his grin and put down the book again.
Maybe it wasn't something to be ashamed of. Going for a swim without clothes on, and, coming out of the water without clothes on. After all, they were all stranded here. A group of people like them could just take over jungle habits and not be ashamed of anything like this. But it was different. They were people, and they had a doctor, and little homes. It would have been different if they would have built little huts to live in and go yell 'uga buga' at each other. But they were trying to pick up a normal life on this island, instead of a jungle life. As difficult as it was.
"Must be cold without your trunks." Kate said in a casual tone, switching the banana's from one shoulder to another, as the sweat on her face dried in the burning sun.

"You bet.." Sawyer grinned wider. Oh-hoh, she was so checking him out... What he'd have given to have Jack wander by just then... anything, pretty much, except losing this moment.
There would be more moments like this, of course, once everyone got over this crazy idea that they were still 'civilised'.
The sensible thing to do would have been... hell, why even pretend he knew how to be sensible? Wasn't exactly[/b] his style, now, was it? No, Sawyer had to push things up that extra notch.. because having something wasn't nearly as fun as the rush you got from almost losing it.
He looked at Kate sidelong, still grinning, though this time in a more knowing way. "How about you come a little closer and warm me up?"

Kate rolled her eyes at him and a small grin appeared on her face. So maybe this wasn't something people should be ashamed of stranded here. But, Kate wouldn't have acted thesame. Not at all, actually. But then again, she couldn't have imagined anyone else then Sawyer acting like this; like this was normal. And, I mean, be honest. It aint thát bad-looking..
"You sure know how to make a girl feel special, Sawyer." She said, giving him a small grin. She lifted the banana's again (haha banana's, how ironic..) and swiftly hung them on her shoulder as she turned around, giving him a small goodbye-gesture. She then started pacing further into the direction where she had been heading in the first place, her feet sinking away into the sand.

cuts to Jacks place
Jack sat next to Sayid and is tending to his wounds.
This is going to hurt. Ready to tell me what happened?
He raised his eyebrow, surprised that Sayid had gotten himself into another tangle, and Jack had to mend him up again. He didn't mind, it was his job, his responsibility, but he wondered if this was going to be a regular thing. It was a messy wound and needed a bit of stitching, and Sayid din't even flinch when Jack drew the tapestry needle through his skin.

Sayid groaned as Jack tended to his wounds. He knew how to with stand pain, usually, but this was painful, right on his head. He squinted but opened his eyes again to look at Jack. "We were trying to find the source of the distress call. I saw the flare from the beach, and then the flare from Sawyer's position in the jungle. I switched on my antenna, activated the transceiver, and then... darkness. Whoever hit me came from behind." He explained, quite slowly and occasionally grunting with pain.

Multiple thoughts ran through Jack's head. Mostly panic and random accusations that disappeared as soon as they had arrived.
"They destroyed the equipment?"
He nearly groaned out loud, his hopes for an answer dashed, he knew that they had really needed this opportunity. But it had gone and a potential way off the island had gone too.

Shannon Walks towards Kate and Jack with Boone in tow and she says. "We need some help over here" Her voice was shakey and she's worried about her step brother.

Sayid turned quickly when he heard voices and saw Shannon with Boone leaning heavily on her. He rushed over, taking the weight of Boone off Shannon and letting Boone lean on him. He looked at Jack, his eyebrows furrowed with confusion. He started to make his way towards the cave where he could put Boone down and let Jack see to him. He had a pretty nasty cut on his head that looked like it would need treating.

Rushing over to help Jack couldn't help but worry over the continuence of accidents happening to these people on the Island.
"What happened?"
Jack immediately started to look over the man's wounds. Trying not to hurt him he led him over to the patch that he had been using for his 'office'.

((ha! post))
Jaz walked down the beach, bored out of her mind. I mean how many times can you sing 99 bottles of beer on the wall before you go insane? Really? She stopped as she spotted Jack, heading for the caves. Interested she followed. Stopped she looked around "Something about us and getting hurt" she muttered, more to herself than to anyone else. She sifted nerviously looking from Boone to Jack, then back again. What happened here? Man miss out on alot when your bored. "What happened?" Jaz asked Shannon, pushing her blonde hair out of her eyes as she looked around.
((If I don't reply it's cause I can't get on but I'll try!))

Boone muttered "Sawyer" as he was being seen by Jack, Shannon just stood out the way and watched what was going on. "Jack its just a scrape" He said as he was being doctored.

Jack looked at Boone like he was crazy. He was getting tired of doing this, and he was running out of medical supplies.
"Yeah, lots of scrapes today. I'm running out of peroxide."
He pulled some out of a bag and ripped up an old shirt then started to tend to the man.
