Name: Kamilliah (kuh-MILL-uh) Tate - "Milla" (MEE-yuh) and "Millie" (MILL-ee).
Age: 27
Home before the crash: Australia
Occupation before the crash: Writer/Producer - Film/Television Production, Video Production Analyst, Technician, Editor & Coordinator.
Physical Description:
- Eye Color – Milla's eyes are actually two different colors...the eye on her right is blue, making the left one grey, yet this is something that you wouldn't notice by just glancing at her.
- Hair Color and Style - Her hair is a sandy-blonde color, and cascades as far as a few inches below her shoulders. Naturally wavey, Milla tends to keep it up and away from her face in a ponytail of a sort...or else, she'd fulfill her urge to just chop it all off.
- Signature – Sienna Miller -
Brief Description: Standing about 5'7", Milla has very bright, soft, and gentle features by nature. Nonchalantly carrying herself as if she were walking on a cloud, Milla keeps her head held high, her soft pink lips permanently curled into a slight smile, when relaxed. Her body is that of a slim figure, some would even consider her to look sickly, and thank god she isn't pale or that just might add to the mix...no, Milla just tends to take very good care of her body, after an illness she'd had as a child she doesn't take risks, if it means harming her body in any shape, way or form.
Personality: Milla is terribly set on impulses...she has self control, yes, but she absolutely loves to do things right on the spot...which probably explains why she's constantly changing her mind about things. Fearless and dependable, Milla would go the extra mile just to see a smile on someone's face. She's a caring, sweet girl who honestly wants nothing but the best for her daughter...but that's when things get a little sticky, considering she hasn't seen her daughter since the plane had crashed.
On the island, she'd probably be a little sulky...although she'd much rather hold all her feelings in than let them all come flying out, so she may seem a little upset, but she wouldn't dare speak of why...she hates sympathies, loves giving them, but hates recieving them...she's also very stubborn, and if asked to do something against her will, she most certainly wouldn't give in..which can also make her a pain in the ass to work with. However, she never really seems to be hated among many people..she has her sweet sincerity to thank for that..
Milla despises people who try to change her for who she is, or point out her flaws, which she has many of. She tries her best, all the time..knowing that in the long run, everything will pay off..and people who don't realize that might want to stray away from Milla, for she'll really give them a taste of her bad side, without another thought about it..
History: Kamilliah Tate was born to Thomas Tate and Sienne Linsk on December 24th, 1976, in Seattle, Washington, USA.
Milla had no records of any illnesses until she was two years of age, having been an average, attention loving baby until one day she was struck ill, and remained that way for months to come. At first she'd been diagnosed with severe pneumonia...but somehow along the way, the doctors claimed it to be a rare, incurable heart disease. With only a few months left to live, physicians could merely suggest that she remain active, eat healthily, and live as much as a two year old possibly could.
When not in the hospital for testing and observations, Milla traveled everywhere with her parents, who'd taken the year off of their busy jobs to spend time with their child. They traveled everywhere around the United States, visiting any kid-friendly place they could find, all the while making sure that they took care of Milla correctly and treating her with the utmost respect and kindness, frightened that when the baby really did pass away, she wouldn't be aware of just how much they loved her. Yet somehow, Milla lived past those frightening couple of months with ease, only to find at the end that the disease had ceased and she was no longer in the rough.
Tom and Sienne were astonished, relieved, angry, and not to mention terribly, terribly happy. Given the chance to see their daughter grow into a beautiful, successful young woman was all that they'd ever wanted...and was exactly what they got. They'd learned so many things from those scary months in which Milla had been diagnosed with her heart disease...and they taught it all to their lovely daughter, every last bit...about how to live life to its fullest, and never be afraid to take chances. With these life lessons in mind, Milla began her first few steps to become the woman she is today.
At age eight, Milla was following in her parents' footsteps, beginning a career in theater arts in local community centers, school productions, and many, many other locations currently unlisted. Everyone knew she had talent, right from the very beginning...and with her permission, Tom and Sienne finally made the decision to enter her in film production. Perhaps the whole television/movie thing wasn't Milla's deal...know one would ever know...but she wasn't as successful onscreen as she was onstage. After only three years of acting onscreen, Milla called it quits and continued to pursue her career in theater arts. Only two years later, the girl landed a major role in Broadway's "Annie, Get Your Gun", and that was when Milla was truely 'discovered'.
After starring in two major film productions, Milla easily found what it was that was making her feel so queasy onscreen, causing a dent in her acting...it was the amount of power she had. She wanted to be able to make a difference in that of a production, even if she did have some, she wanted more. She wanted to make a difference, to really be able to grasp her characters with a firm hold, and even change them to fit the storyline more...but she couldn't do that as a child. Deciding to put her acting career on hold for a bit, Milla began to follow her father around on the set of the movie he'd been shooting, observing the jobs of others, such as directors and producers, and how their jobs fit into productions of the film.
At age fifteen, she began writing scripts of her own, showing them to numerous directors, producers and fellow actors, asking for tips and guidance. With this technique, Milla's writing improved drastically over the years and once she was twenty years old, one of her scripts was really turned into a film. But she still felt empty...like she still didn't know what she was doing. So, off she went to the Stella Adler Conservatory, to continue her studies on theater and film production.
Finishing her studies at twenty-three, Milla pursued a career as a writer & producer for film and director for television. At 24 she met the man of her dreams...the star of the film she was producing, John Klansa. Almost immediately, the two had begun a romantic relationship...and a year later, the woman became pregnant with John's child. Helena Ashlee was born eight months later, on the day that John and Milla had planned their wedding...and the two officially married four months after the birth.
Milla continued her career after Helena was a year old. Having moved into a beach house in Florida with John and the child, away from the paparazzi that constantly hounded her husband, Milla was finally able to really, truely concentrate on her next piece of work - writing a script for Lansing Entertainment, labeled Unarmed. After writing draft upon draft, Milla was finally able to send the official copy to the studio, which accepted it with open arms, and gave her position of Producer (as well as creator) for the film.
Ever since she'd began writing the script, Milla had pictured it set in Sydney, Australia..and when she was given a say in where to shoot the film, that was her top choice. Two years later, Milla found herself in Sydney, with the now three-year-old Helena, and an entire cast and crew, ready to shoot the film, with high hopes that this become a major motion picture..
Why they were on the flight: Milla was filming the movie she both wrote and produced in Australia, and was on the plane back to L.A. with her three year old daughter Helena (who's whereabouts are currently unknown) and many cast & crew members to continue filming in their L.A. sudio location.
Crash site: # 1
1. Fuselage (with the cast from the series - there are 48 survivors here but only about 15 we know in detail so you could be one of the 'background' characters in the series...)
Itinerary: A blanket with a burnt hole in the center, one of her luggage bags, another person's luggage bag, her daughter's little red suitcase, a few random pieces of the script to her film as well as reels of film and other unimportant things that'd been used to shoot the movie. Her most prized possession is probably her daughter's hair tie, which she'd found in some random spot on the beach.
Strengths: Milla's very hard-headed and determined...give her a mission, and she'll stop at nothing to complete it. She's very good at faking things, or lying about them, or even acting as if something never happened. She also has a knack at orginization, guidance, and smiling - ridiculous, I know, but she always seems to be smiling or laughing, one way or another..
Weakness: Afraid of loud noises, falling from high places and drowning.
Sample Post: Yummmm...pecan pie..Milla hadn't had that in ages. Or was it pecan pie? She could taste the pecans, but there was something different about this...something...well, grainy, in a way. Sandy? Wet? Yeah, sandy and wet..but sandy and wet were two words that people usually don't use to describe pecan pie..unless they were eating sandy, wet pecan pie.
And surely, Milla was not eating sandy, wet pecan pie. The taste that this particular substance brought to her mouth was like an old, dusty taste...bitter...and somewhat dirty. Slowly, the woman brought her fingertips up to her lips, feeling something grain-like upon them. And that was when she snapped her eyes open.
At first, Milla's vision didn't adjust all that well. Everything was blurry, and therefore the sounds that she heard were nothing but confused screams, voices that worried her. Was she okay? Was the cast and crew okay? What about Helena? Where was she? Why wasn't she by Milla's side? The moment that her vision cleared, Milla slowly brought her arms to her sides, pressing the palms of her hands down on the ground and pushing her torso up, head moving ever so slightly to take everything in. Helena wasn't by her...she wasn't anywhere to be seen. Milla panicked. The sound of the screams and the cries of pain and horror and rage were too much to bear..along with the sight of blood, of a broken plane, broken hearts, broken dreams...Milla could've sworn this was hell.
But she was alive...most definitely. She could still feel, and she could still taste...ah yes, taste...what was it in her mouth? Parting her dry lips ever so slightly, Milla spit a mouthful of sand onto the ground, cringing in disgust. Alright, so that pecan pie hadn't even been pie in the first place. How disappointing. That would've been a nice treat, even in the situation they were all in...for she was deathly hungry. It was as if on cue, her stomach then rumbled, and she looked down at it in surprise and frustration. Food was the last thing she needed to worry about right now.
For some reason, this all wasn't coming as a shock to Milla...it was as if she couldn't take all of this into account, that her plane had crashed, people were scared, were dying, and Helena wasn't with her...all she could do was stare at everything passing by, this whole dilemma happening before her eyes. Her head hurt...so did her arm, and her back, which in itself most likely hurt thanks to landing on it when the plane had crashed. Shifting her attention over to her arm, Milla sighed when she notice a large cut running from her shoulder to her elbow...oh joy. But this was, yet again, the least of her worries. She had to find Helena. She needed to make sure the child was okay.
((Sidenote - So, I have this little plan forming in my mind, right? Because I'm super-imaginative. Not. Anyway, so I mentioned earlier in this lil' guy that Milla's daughter, Helena, is missing from the crash site. So, I was thinking that somehow, Helena ended up on the other side of the island with the tail end of the plane, right? And she can, like, be hanging out with the people from the tail end, while Milla's in the Fuselage crash site dealie, thinking that her daughter's dead/whatever. Soooo...then I thought, hey, they can be reunited! (I'll figure out how, later...haha) So, I was wondering if that'd be alright..but I'd also like to just RP Helena as a solid character, and not just a redshirt for Milla's storyline...so, do I need to make an entirely new account for that...or could I just keep this account, and RP both Milla and Helena on it?
Confused yet? Tee hee. ;-)))
((Mehhhh...excuse the shitty joining form...I didn't even spend a fricken day on it...blaaaaaaah... ))
