Shannon Shannon and Jaz have been busy all day collecting firewood and together they walk back onto the beach to wards the fire. Shannon dumps her few twigs of firewood upon the sand and gets the tarpaulin to cover them so they don't get wet. "There." She said with great satisfaction, feeling so proud of herself, that she had finally got off her backside to help out and gathering firewood wasn't a particularly hard to task to do, but none the less she felt overwhelmed with satisfaction. Now where's my nail file? She thought, she wandered over to where her belongings were and rummaged through her backpack, pulled out a nail file, that was starting to rust slightly, and she sat upon the sand, looking out to sea, while trimming down her broken finger nail.

Darkness was starting to fall, and Sawyer could almost taste the change in atmosphere. Not that people weren't highly strung during the day time, as you'd expect after a plane crash, but with the blackness came... something else. Case in point, Jaz's strange and exhausing obsession with little kids in gas masks.
Speak of the devil... He wasn't sure whether the joy or weariness was stronger in him on seeing her. Things between them were complicated, even if she didn't know that yet... The fire in her appealed to him, but the neurosis was going to burn him out if he didn't let go... he didn't want to let go... Sigh.
She was with Shannon... that meant he shouldn't go over, right? She needed alone time...

((woo!!!!!))
Jaz colapsed on the sand, dumping her wood near Shannon's. Sighing, she glanced around. Her eyes fell on a figure. Saywer. She grinned at him, and nodded her head, as if telling him to come over. She looked at Shannon "Proud?" she asked with a grin, looking at her rather small pile of twigs. Hey she's helping! And she's not as selfish as people say, Jaz thought to herself.
She looked back at Sawyer, wondering if he was going to come over. She didn't know why. There was something about his company she enjoyed more than everyone elses. Maybe it was he'd convinced her that there was nothing there to get her, something no one had ever done before. She folded her arms, staring into the fire...man this was crazy.
((......WOO!!! Sorry I am ever so slightly high now!))

Shannon Noticed that Jaz had clapped eyes on Sawyer, and she thought. That's my cue to get outta here "Um yeah, I guess" She replied to Jaz, then continued. "Um, I'm gonna go check on Sayid, see you later I guess" She backed away from Jaz walking backwards as she spoke, then she spun around to walk away and hopefully find Sayid.

Jaz grinned watching Shannon leave, she half expected her to start running. She turned her gaze to Sawyer, but he hadn't moved. She gave him a 'fine' look and lay down, streatching out her slim body, closing her eyes. She was...flirting in a manner of speaking. She would wait....she knew he would come over, he was just being a jerk like all the other guys in the world who thought they were 'So cool'. She smiled softly to herself, waiting for Sawyer...
((don't make her come up there!))

Was this his cue? Should he go running over, all wide eyed and adoring?
Yeah, whatever. He'd sooner marry Jack (that being so much more his style after all). He could resist...
A slow smile played on his lip. So, that was her game then? Cute (in more than one way), but not her style, or so he'd have thought - Shannon yes, but Jaz? Well, she was full of surprises. That thought was more comforting than the alternative - that she was just like every other girl; a few curves, a cute smile... and a staid hand in an old game, yawn.
Yawn he did, leaning back against a chunk of fuselage and, as per usual, lighting up, making a conscious effort to keep his eyes off her. He could wait a damn sight better than she could.

((lol...hmmm how shall I do this))
Don't go over, don't go over, don't go over. But it was to late, she could feel herself standing up, dusting hte sand of. She shot an angrily look at Sawyer, but began to walk towards him. She hated him sometimes.
As soon as she reached him she folded her arms "Your mean" she stated simply, glaring at him, but you could tell she didn't really mean it. She sighed, pulling a face of discust as she look out across the beach. She couldn't belive she went over. All because of some guy. But when that some guy was Sawyer it was different. Why? Because she said so.
((hmm poor Jaz...))

"But y'love me anyway, right?" Sawyer cocked one eyebrow, grinning slightly as she approached.. For a throwaway line, however, that packed something of a punch - was this how things were going to be? Sigh. Complications. Like he needed more of them right now...
How to follow that one? By seeming to ignore her. No doubt she was expecting some sort of.. something. He wasn't sure what. But he wasn't going to give it. If this was to be a game of the mind, he'd be playing the mindgames... It was a relief that she had come over, of course, because otherwise he'd eventually have had to accept his weakness and head on over. But she didn't have to know that. So, after the initial greeting, he was content to play disaffected, glancing away up the beach and dragging on the killing stick.

((u rock my world )) "You wish" said said smirking, tossing her blonde hair out of her eyes. She paused, watching him, the corner of her mouth twitching as she resisted the urge to smile. She for some reason wasn't expecting Sawyer to say anything more. She'd gotten used to him just standing there, smoking and staring blankly. So everyone thought he was a jerk, ok he was sometimes but that didn't really bother Jaz much anymore. She was gonna be stuck here for a while, may as well find someone who doesn't care if she's slightly annoying. She laughed softly to herself, wondering how long it would take before Sawyer began to get sick of Jaz. Normally it didn't take guys to long before Jaz began to bug them, but who knows Sawyer might be different. ((Just to say I hate Ana Lucia for punching Sawyer, stealing his gun then running away...so evil!))
